Fritz & Nana's Wedding Video at The Grove Country Estate (UK)

On our first meeting with the Nana, the bride to be, it was obvious we got on like a house on-fire. She was a warm, intelligent girl with a heart of gold and had a very much in love fiancé!

Fitz worked in Switzerland but both he and Nana wanted very much to be involved in the preparations of their wedding film. To make this happen we used Skype a great deal so even when Fitz was hundreds of miles away he was also right there with us, even on an afternoon visit to their wedding venue, The Grove Hotel.

Nana was keen that we should incorporate all their personal elements into the Wedding Film so small details were important. This worked well because small details are one of our fortes. As leading wedding videographers we take them very seriously.

Nana & Fritz had their wedding ceremony at the Duke of York Roman Catholic Church in Stanmore and the wedding reception was held at The Grove Country Estate in Watford. Both Nana & Fritz are of Ghanaian heritage and integrated this element into their wedding in the form of entertainment and food.

Nana wore a gorgeous gown by a designer called Justin Proano and beautiful blue shoes by Tom Ford, everyone remarked on how different they were.

Flowers were by the very talented Heather Faulker and Andy Williams of Essential Couture. Their signature style is very grand statement pieces so in the foyer of the hotel they installed a full-sized wishing tree on which guests hung personal messages to the couple. It was a really nice touch and a wonderful keepsake.

We used a team of 3 wedding videographers, as there were challenges to deal with. At the beginning of their wedding reception there were three things happening at the same time. The guests were enjoying a cocktail party prepared for them, the couple were having their portraits taken by the photographer and we needed to film the reception room being transformed (behind the scenes).

We are happy to report that we managed to rise to the occasion and captured everything to absolute perfection!

What the Bride said about our Wedding Videography

After the wedding we were very fortunate as the wedding videography was featured on the Nu Bride Blog for all to enjoy. Nana was an avid Nu Bride follower before her wedding and during her planning process. We were so pleased as we are Ambassadors for the very same blog.

“We chose Urban Cinematography firstly because we wanted our end product to tell a story and to capture the essence of the day. So after watching their sample videos, we were totally convinced that they were the team for us!
That was solidified when firstly I spoke to Jo on the phone and then met both Jo and Apos in person. They are so warm, friendly and full of life! (Nu Bride: Agreed!!)

Their love for weddings was palpable and most importantly, I completely trusted them (so much so that I happily handed my dress over to Apos on the morning of the wedding to hang from a tree!).  (Nu Bride: very trusting, I had a security guard watching my dress from the night before. lol!) We couldn’t be happier with the finished product as are our family and friends who have seen it.”
